Abstract:

While in some countries the concept of environment with the least limitation is used to describe programs and services for people with disabilities, in many countries the term integration is used to increase the attendance of students with disabilities in the classroom. But the newest and most complete concept that has been welcomed worldwide and developed by countries is inclusive education. Inclusive means that the student has a partial of the class and not an out-of-class person, so this student should be involved in activities and in addition, when necessary, various activities should be adjusted to ensure the presence of these people. The inclusive education approach is a call for change in the education system.Iran has taken fundamental steps in the development of integrated and inclusive education. But no serious plan has yet been made for the entry of students with intellectual disabilities into regular schools. Teachers are not yet fully aware of inclusive and integrated education, and there is a need to produce extensive content and curricula in this area.Physical education classes are a good place for students with disabilities to include the community and make friends with other students. Sports teachers can bring students with disabilities into the classroom, modify physical activity and exercise, use adaptive sports, and integrate these people into the community. To achieve this, the need for legislation, structural contexts, production of scientific content and training of physical education teachers in the country is strongly felt. To achieve this goal, all organizations involved in this field, especially universities and research institutes, must work together in an organized manner.
