Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to provide a model for predicting aggression in juvenile delinquency basedon problem-solving strategies and communication skills strategies. This research has been used in termsof purpose and terms of nature and method of correlation. The statistical population includes all juveniledelinquents who were kept in Zarrin Dasht Correctional Center in Fars. ۱۳۱ adolescents who werepresent in the reform center in the first six months of ۲۰۱۹ were selected. In this study, threequestionnaires, including problem solving style, aggression and communication skills questionnaireswere used to collect data. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics ofPearson correlation and multivariate regression using SPSS software version ۲۳. The results showed thatthere is a significant inverse relationship between problem solving styles and aggression of delinquentadolescents (P <۰.۰۱). There was also a significant inverse relationship between communication skillsand aggression of delinquent adolescents (P <۰.۰۱). Based on the results of simultaneous regression, itwas shown that among the predictor variables, problem-solving strategies inversely predict theaggression of delinquent adolescents (p <۰.۰۱ and Beta = ۰.۲۴۹). Communication skills also predictinverse aggression of delinquent adolescents (p <۰.۰۱ and Beta = ۰.۲۵۷). So that ۵۵.۴% of the explainedvariance changes explained the aggression of delinquent adolescents by communication skills andproblem solving strategies.
