Abstract:

Carbon Dots (CDs) nanoparticles are a new category of carbon nanomaterials with a size of less than ۱۰ nm, which have shown high absorption potential, biocompatibility, high solubility in water, low toxicity, etc. In this research, the synthesis method of Carbon Dots has been reported. For the synthesis of CDs, the hydrothermal method, which is a green, easy and economical method, was chosen and a new plant source "Adoxaceae" was used as a plant precursor. To investigate the effect of adding carbon dots to the nanocomposite, FTIR analysis was performed, and also the particle size was determined. The results showed the presence of hydrophilic functional groups on the surface of CDs, which gives hope that these nanoparticles can positively affect the absorption of water and humidity and improve the physical properties of the nanocomposite.
