Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between shame and behavioral problems and cruelty-insensitivity in adolescent girls. The present research method is descriptive and correlational. The statistical population was adolescent girls, ۱۱۴ of whom were selected using the cluster sampling method from among adolescents in Tehran's first district school. The tools used in this research are the Adolescent Cruelty-Insensitivity Questionnaire (CPAP), the Adolescent Behavioral Problems and Abilities Questionnaire (SDQ), and the Adolescent Shame Scale (ASPS) which is used to analyze the data. spss۲۴ software and Pearson correlation test were used.The results of the data analysis showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between the two scales of cruelty-insensitivity and Aafi's discomfort from the subscales of shame, with a correlation coefficient of ۰.۱۹ at the ۰.۵ level. ۰ has been confirmed, but no significant relationship was found between the cruelty-insensitivity scale and negative self-evaluation, and no significant relationship was found between cruelty-insensitivity and extraversion.The observed correlation coefficient between the scales of behavioral problems and negative self-evaluation, behavioral problems and extraversion, and behavioral problems and emotional distress are respectively ۰.۵۰, ۰.۳۰, and ۰.۴۷, which is significant at the ۰.۰۱ level. Therefore, the more behavioral problems in teenagers, the greater the feeling of shame.
