A new dendrimeric complex of copper stabilized on hercynite magnetic nanoparticles as a novel, practical and recyclable nanocatalyst in the homoselective synthesis of tetrazoles

Abstract:

In this work, hercynite nanoparticles (AlFe۲O۴) were prepared using aqueous solution of commercial materials such as NaOH, FeCl۲ and Al(NO۳)۳.۹H۲O. Then, the surface of AlFe۲O۴ NPs was encapsulated by silica and further it was modified by ۳-choloropropyltrimtoxysilane (CPTMS). Then, a new dendrimer including of cyanuric chloride and tris(hydroxymethyl)amino methane was immobilized on the surface of modified AlFe۲O۴ NPs. Finally, a complex of copper was fabricated on the dendrimeric functionalized AlFe۲O۴ NPs (Cu@THAM۲@SiO۲@hercynite). In continuation, Cu@THAM۲@SiO۲@hercynite was characterized by several techniques such as WDX, EDS, SEM, TGA, and AAS. In the second part of this work, the catalytic application of Cu@THAM۲@SiO۲@hercynite was investigated as a practical, recyclable and organic-inorganic hybrid nanocatalyst in the synthesis of tetrazole derivatives. Cu@THAM۲@SiO۲@hercynite showed a good homoselectivity in the synthesis of tetrazoles. Besides, tetrazole derivatives were isolated in high TOF and TON numbers in the presence of Cu@THAM۲@SiO۲@hercynite, which reveals high activity of this nanocatalyst. Also, Cu@THAM۲@SiO۲@hercynite with heterogeneous nature was indicated a notable reusability.
