Tris hydroxyaminomethyl methane on hercynite magnetic nanoparticles as a metal free, heterogeneous organic base and recyclable nanocatalyst in the synthesis of pyranopyrazoles

Abstract:
Hercynite is a magnetic and environmentally friendly nanoparticle (NPs), which is composed from oxygen, iron and aluminum with a high density of hydroxyl groups on its surface. Therefore, in this work, hercynite NPs were synthesized using aqueous solutions of iron(II) chloride and aluminum nitrate. Then, the surface of prepared hercynite NPs was coated by silica and further modified by ۳-choloropropyltrimtoxysilane (CPTMS). Finally, tris(hydroxymethyl)amino methane (THAM) was immobilized on the surface of modified hercynite (THAM@SiO۲@hercynite NPs) as metal free, magnetically reusable and organobasic nanocatalyst in the multi component reactions such as the synthesis of pyranopyrazole derivatives. THAM@SiO۲@hercynite NPs were characterized by WDX, EDS, SEM and TGA techniques. THAM@SiO۲@hercynite NPs are a stable and heterogeneous nature, therefore, it can be recovered and reused for several times.
