Abstract:

This study was conducted with the aim of investigating cooperative learning (CL) inEnglish language classrooms. In this research, library information was examined.The results show that most of the English language teachers had a positiveunderstanding of the use of collaborative learning, especially they had a goodunderstanding of it. Regarding teachers' problems in the field of second languageteaching, the results showed that large class size, noise and loss of classroom controlwere claimed as regular barriers to cooperative learning. In addition, the studies alsosuggested ways to promote cooperative learning in English classrooms, includingsetting clear roles for students, creating learning contexts, and closely monitoringgroups
