Environmental Risk Assessment Modeling of Iranian Drilling Industry

The drilling industry does produce emission to the environment but these emissions are continually being minimized by the use of health, safety and environment management strategies to identify all the risks and minimizing these risks. The main goal of any drilling companies is to drill a well with environmental safety usable well completion and minimum costs. Iranian drilling industry also implements environmental risk management. For minimizing the environmental risks in drilling industry, at first Iran needs strict rules and regulations, so a good environmental risk management is needed to apply. Risk assessment is the main part of any risk management systems, because when all the risks identified, the best control system can be applied. Environmental risk analysis involves the use of qualitative and quantitative criterions in the analysis. For a large system, at first good qualitative techniques are used then, for high-risk hazards quantitative techniques are preferred. So for environmental risk modeling should gain several techniques regarding to each hazards. This article is assigned to identify all the risks concerning environment in Iranian drilling industry by the use of environmental impact assessment to present the appropriate environmental control measures to minimize the risks which is acceptable.
