Abstract:
A simple model is presented for turbulent momentum transfer on a flat plate. The proposed model is based on some polynomial velocity profiles in laminar sub-layer as well as in fully developed boundary-layer and two integral boundary-layer equations. The model could be used for calculation of velocity profile on the flat plate. The calculated velocity profile is in good agreement with other proposed empirical equations and other turbulent momentum transfer method.
