Abstract:

This paper studies the design of a robust autopilot for a fighter aircraft by considering the actuator saturation. This goal can be achieved using CompositeNonlinear Feedback Control method (CNF) along with the Integral Sliding Mode (ISM) controller which is called ISMCNF control method. The CNF part is used to improve thetransient performance of the nominal system and the ISM part guarantees robustness against disturbances and the totalcontroller satisfies the constraint on the input in the specific region of the state space. Simulations show the effectiveperformance of the ISM-CNF method in term of robustness, andtransient response in spite of actuator saturation.
