Calculation of fin efficiency of perforated plate fin element

Mathematical modelling is now established as a growing discipline which offers important tools for tackling process optimisation problems. Using a well-defined mathematical model of perforated aluminium plate fin element a finite element method has been developed to calculate the accurate and reliable fin efficiency. The model and boundary conditions used are described in detail. The results of calculation are presented in tabular forms and in diagrams.
