Abstract:

Nitrogen oxides is one of the greenhouse gases which are made responsible for the current period of global warming. Among the biggest emission sources for this gas is natural gas fired power plants. The United Nations General assembly suggested in 1988 that human activities can negatively impact weather pattern and thus they should be controlled. This control policy can result in the improvement of efficiency of final consumers such as power plants, cars or other energy intensive industries. In this paper, the existing strategies and specifically making the DLN burners to reduce greenhouses gases in power plants are explored. For accurate and real simulation, the burner’s geometry has been produced in a three-dimensional form in GAMBIT software and the results of the simulation have been expressed through FLUENT software. In the end, it is concluded that DLN burners plan has a better result compared with other strategies.
