Abstract:

Culture has an important position in language teaching and learning studies. The relationship between language and culture has long attracted the attention of philosophers, sociologists, and linguists. Some sociologists consider it as the keystone of culture. Language and culture are two inseparable elements. Language can be considered as part of culture and culture as part of language. Language is not only part of what we call culture, but also a reflection of culture. Any culture has its own unique behavioral model, which is unfamiliar to people with other cultural backgrounds. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to this in language teaching, especially in English language teaching. Raising awareness of aspects of culture such as various pronunciations, translatable and untranslatable words, approaches to culture, who should teach culture, strategies for teaching language and culture are substantial. The purpose of this research is to investigate the cultural aspects of English language teaching.
