Practicalities of Affixes in Vocabulary Learning

Vocabulary is an important component of any language. Therefore, learning of vocabulary can have an important value in learning of a second/foreign language. It must be systematic. This review paper considered word-formation. There are explanations about morphemes, affixes and awareness of affixes attacking to roots, all of which can be a way in acquiring vocabulary. Thus, in this review paper, some articles have been investigated to bring a complete and well-defined classification of different typesof morphemes and affixes that cause the learner to be aware of the difference between these in order to use them in vocabulary learning. Therefore, learning of vocabulary has an important role in learning of a second/foreign Language.
