Abstract:

The main purpose for writing this paper lies in the fact that although the context is an important and even vital issue in translation process but sometimes unexperienced translators do not consider the importance of context. In this way, their translation will be unqualified and this is so problematic in translation of important document and publications. This paper tries to study the context effect on the quality of translation. Firstly it is going to present a comprehensive definition of text as well as context . In this way, the paper study the subject using some helpful and affective examples. Translation, seen as a mode of being in the world, should not be regarded per se but should be contextualized as a social system. Infidelity is built in translation because it inevitably describes domestic scenes that are loaded not only linguistically and culturally, but also socially and politically. Translation is simultaneous de-contextualization and re-contextualization, hence is productive rather than reproductive.
