Abstract:

In this research, a new ٥-DoF biomechanical model of the human body for the seated posture in order to investigate the biodynamic responses is presented. The proposed model is considered of the lumped-parameter model type with ignoring backrest support for evaluating the vibration responses in vertical direction. Further, using genetic algorithms (GA) through the global criterion method, we obtained model’s parameters consisted of masses, stiffness, and damping to minimize the errors between experimental results and numerical data of model. These results demonstrate the better compliance of presented model with the laboratory data in comparison with the previous models.
