Dynamic production planning in forward-reverse supply chains considering different transportation modes

This paper develops a mathematical programming model for a multi-period and multi-productforward-reverse supply chain under dynamic condition to determine the optimal values of tacticallevel decisions. The tactical level decisions include decisions related to production and distributionplanning, inventory amount, transportation mode, quantity of collected and recovered products inthe forward and reverse sides of the considered supply chain. The acquired results justify thecapability of the proposed model in determining the optimal values of tactical level decisions indifferent echelons of a forward-reverse supply chain network.
