Abstract:

Organic photovoltaic cell (OPV) has emerged as a new competitor to inorganic material-based solar cells, due to its potential application in large area, printable, and flexible solar panels. Electron donor and electron acceptor materials, with ideal properties are requisite for reaching high PCE. In this article, the relationship between P3HT:C60 composition, thermal annealing and photovoltaic property of active layer materials will be discussed, and also the rules of molecular design of organic photovoltaic materials will be presented.solar cells based on Poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT):C60 were fabricated using chloroform (CHCl3) solvent. It can be seen that device having a P3HT:C60 blend ratio of 1:0.5 to be relatively better than a blend ratio of 1:1. Furthermore after thermal annealing, the films casted from chloroform show higher absorption than the films casted from chloroform without thermal annealing
