Abstract:
An efficient photocatalyst, nanoporous anatase TiO2 crystalline particles coupled by homogeneously
dispersed Keggin unit, H3PW12O40/TiO2, was prepared by a simple and rapid process by combined sol–gel
method. In this work activity and performance of a composite of TiO2/tungstophosphoric acid distributed
onto the MCM-41 and Metal-MCM-41 are studied. The photocatalysts are employed for degradation of
aniline which is one of the most serious pollutants in the environment. The prepared materials have been
characterized by FTIR, BET and XRD. Our studies showed that the prepared materials have very high ability
to adsorb aniline. Experimental data demonstrate that the reaction rate of decomposition of aniline is highest
in TiO2/tungstophosphoric acid composites.
