Group Recommender Systems: A Review on Techniques and Applications

In recent years the use of group recommender systems has a significant growth and the reason is that the use of group recommender systems, in cases when a group of people participate in a single activity is turn out to become much more useful and more appropriate than the individual recommenders. Therefore, not only areas such as TV, music, restaurants, tours, movies and entertainment venues have been used for the research but also collaborative learning support, digital libraries and other areas look promising for the group recommender systems. Many of group recommender systems which are different regarding the program sphere, has been presented to this day. In this article, firstly, we try to describe methods by reviewing the concepts and techniques used in group recommender systems, afterwards we will discuss group recommender applications.
