Abstract:
Fresh extract of Rosemarinus officinalis leaves contains a number of secondary metabolites, including flavonoids that have been demonstrated anti-cancer effects. In this research Iron Complex Nanoparticles were synthesized in this extract. this complex contain nuclei of iron nanoparticles that secondary metabolites such as flavonoids loaded on it. this complex have been characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Energy dispersive analysis of X-rays (EDAX), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). The result has shown that the iron nanoparticle are amorphous mate-rials with sizes ranging from 70 to 100 nm. Energy dispersive analysis of X-rays (EDAX) investigation of com-plex iron nanoparticles and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) extract of plant and complex iron nanoparticles show that flavonoid are present in the complex. The peak around 1621.41cm−1 of Iron Complex Nanoparticles relate to the C=C ring stretching in flavonoids. recently nanoparticles can considered a fertile ground .for loading and release of novel anticancer agents such as secondary metabolites of medicinal plants
