Abstract:

In this study, the photochemical properties of magnetic p-n nanojunction were adjusted via solution combustion synthesis. The ethylene glycol, urea and DMF were performed as fuels for solution combustion synthesis of Fe2O3-ZnO/rGO. The photochemical features of synthesized samples were characterized by XRD, FESEM and PL analysis. Furthermore, the practical capability of samples was tested during sonophotocatalytic degradation of methylene blue as target organic pollution. XRD patterns illustrated the sample which was synthesized by ethylene glycol is amorphous while the samples which were fabricated by urea and DMF consist better crystal structure rather than ethylene glycol. The FESEM micrographs depicted that the combustion pores in all of the samples were created. Besides, FESEM of the sample which was fabricated by ethylene glycol shows that the distribution of active phases on rGO support is not homogeneous. Solution combustion synthesis of Fe2O3-ZnO/rGO by DMF is more favorable rather than other fuels due to it shows the lower recombination of electron-hole pairs and this phenomenon was confirmed by recording PL emission of the synthesized sample.
