Abstract:

Today, tourism, as the largest service industry in the world, has a special place in the cultural field. The growth and development of this industry in recent decades in developed and developing countries has led to the reconstruction and cultural changes of young people in the environment and society, and Saholan Water Cave is one of the major tourism centers of the country. The aim of this research was to "investigate and analyze the effects of tourism on cultural changes of youths (Case study: Saholan village of Mahabad city)". with this description, this research was conducted using descriptive-survey method and selecting the statistical society of youth in Saholan villages. Also, for sampling, first by calculating the sample size through Cochrane equation selected ۲۵۰ people and samples were selected randomly among young people. Research Tools Also, to collect data, was the questionnaire. Before implementation, its validity and reliability were confirmed, and finally the data were analyzed in the two parts, describing and testing hypotheses. The results show that there is a significant relationship between tourism effects and cultural changes in the studied village and the most important effects are observed on change in how the youth dress, and change the customs and traditions of the local people. Therefore, it can be stated that the effects of tourism in Saholan village have profound effects on cultural changes of youth.
