Abstract:

In this work polyamide 66 nanofibers in different concentrations were obtained by electrospininning from formic acid solution. An ionic salt, NaCl %1(w/v), was also added to the solution to increase its conductivity .The effect of electrospinning factors such as applied electric field , the polymer concentration, the rate of solution injection and distance between the needle tip and the collector, on the polymeric nanofibers diameters were investigated by response surface methodology (RSM).The morphological properties of the samples were studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and the results were analyzed by D-Optimal design method and analysis of variance(ANOVA). The behavior of the nanofibers diameter against the electrospinning factors were corresponded to a quadratic polynominal equation. The relationship between the response and the variables is visualized by a response surface contour plots. The study of graphical representations of contour plots, prediction formulas can predict the operating conditions necessary to generate nanofibers with optimum diameter.
