A new Gauge-Factor formula to Reach Stable Sensitivity in New Strain-Gauge Sensors abstract

The high sensitivity and high flexibility of the new strain gauge (SG) have made them attractive in various fields. In most cases, reaching a stable gauge factor (GF) in different strains is not available. In this study, a new method to characterization the sensitivity of SG is introduced based on assessing the current changes under applying constant potential. To investigate the method, a solution of conductive nanoparticles is spread on a beam, being studied in different voltages and strains. Results showed that in different applied voltages different GF could be available, thereby enabling scientist to control GF by voltage.
