Abstract:

Transparent electrodes are used in various applications such as transparent thermal films. Today, thedemand for silver nanowire(AgnW)-based coatings for use in transparent film heaters has increased. Inorder to increase the thermal stability and increase the conductivity of the transparent film heaters basedon silver nanowires, we add a conductive coating layer of poly۳, ۴- ethylenedioxythiophene polystyrenesulfonate (PEDOT:PSS) polymer with dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO) solvent and carbon nanotubeoxide(OMWCNT). We added ۵%Wt of DMSO solvent and ۰-۲% Wt of OMWCNT to the polymermatrix. Using the figure of merit (FOMH) parameter, the optimal concentration of carbon nanotube oxidein the polymer system was ۱ Wt% in the polymer solution. By adding a polymer coating with an optimalconcentration of carbon nanotubes, the thermal stability of the synthesized silver nanowire film wasimproved from ۶ minutes to ۳ minutes. FOMH ΦTC =۵.۵۶×۱۰-۴ for AgNWs/PEDOT: PSS to ΦTC =۱.۶۲×۱۰-۳for AgNWs/PEDOT: PSS/DMSO/OMWCNT transparent film heater.
