Abstract:

In this paper, we synthesis copper/gold nanocluster (Cu/Au NC) using starch biopolymer as scaffold and stabilizer in room tempreature. Then obtained particles investigated by UV-Vis spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy, dynamic light scattering (DLS) and energy dispersive spectroscopy EDX. The results showed that the size of produced nanocluster was smaller than ۱۰ nanometers (nm), nanoclusters was spherical, size distribution of NCs was between ۵ to ۱۰ nm and particles contain the gold and copper atoms. Peroxidase like activity of Starch protected Cu/Au nanocluster was evaluated and results showed robust peroxidase like activity, these NCs could catalyze the oxidation of TMB (۳,۳,۵,۵-tetramethylbenzidine) in existence of hydrogen peroxide (H۲O۲) and generate visual blue color. To gain optimum peroxidase like activity concentration of TMB and H۲O۲ was optimized and results illustrated that Cu/Au NCs in presence of ۶۰۰ μM TMB and ۸۰۰ μM H۲O۲ have optimum peroxidase like activity.
