Abstract:
Pore-scale imaging and modeling through digital core analysis is becoming a routine in the oil and gas industry and it is of vital importance in estimating ultimate oil recovery. One way to get beyond the time-consuming and costly SCAL experiments is to simulate the core-flooding tests via pore-scale flow simulation tools. In this study, the sensitivities of capillary pressure and relative permeability curves to pertinent parameters of flow were analyzed quantitatively. The range of advancing contact angle has dramatic effects on the oil-water capillary pressures and relative permeabilities the results presented here is in the line with the results presented already in the literatures
