INVESTIGATION OF CONDUCTOR'S CORROSION OF OVERHEAD POWER TRANSMISSION LINES IN IRAN’S NET-WORK

Regarding the reliabity of overhead power Transmission lines , one of the most important factors which should be very closely investigated is the resistance of conductors against corrosion. In Iranian power network such an investigation was made in installed overhead power Transmission lines by taking various samples from different section of Transmission lines during the period of Aug 1984 - Aug .1985 . Hitachi cable Ltd as the investigatorr has concluded the result of his investigation for the climatical conditions under which the Iranian network is installed . This paper is detail of this investigation.
