A MICRO COMPUTER BASED DESIGN FOR THE DATA ACQUISITION AND MONITORING OF POWER PLANT

The acquisition of data- The processing of those data for use by the operator are the fundamental building blocks upon which all modern utility control systems are based. The systems to accomplish these functions are known as data acquisition and m o n i t o r i n 9 s y s t. e m s (DA & MS). The current technology of DA & MS is reviewed and overview of the functions of DA & MS and the fundamentals of operations of DA toy MS has been provided -in this paper, computer system architectures have change significantly over the years because of changing requirements from utilities and changes in available microcomputer technology. The paper shows how PC-NET configurations have evolved and in today's systems is much commonality in approach Finally, the current state of hard ware and software design regard to our suggests that new and more improved configurations will be achieved in future that are greater in power but are more simplistic in design and more easily maintained.
