COMPUTER MODELLING OF THE THERMODYNAMIC CYCLE OF POWER STATIONS abstract
A direct application of the Advanced Generalised Heat Balance Computer Program (AHBP) to model conventional power station thermodynamic cycles is shown to provide a useful and economic tool for plant design, plant maintenance priority assessment and life extension studies. The simulation of several conventional power station cycles under nominal conditions and with changes to cycle parameters are performed. The results indicate accurate predictions of the performance when compared to the design values and figures available in the literature.
