ON SITE HIGH VOLTAGE TEST OF GIS AS PREVENTION OF ACCIDENTS abstract
Gas insulated, metal -enclosed switchgear (GIS) are based on the combination of gas (SF6) and hard (epoxy resin) insulation. By optimum dimensioning of the electrode system in relation to gas-hard insulation ,the initial condition for quality ensurance of the switchgear functional
assembly is obtained.
By consistent application of approved technological procedure during manufacturing, the initial conditions of the quality ensurance is realised and confirmed through the program of the routine tests.
At the end, prior the switchgear start up ,it is necessary to check the insulation because of the possibility of damage during transportation and installation. This paper describes the own metods of insulation tests of GIS on site and prior to putting into operation.
