FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR AN EFFECTIVE LOAD MANAGEMENT SYSTEM BASED ON THE RIPPLE CONTROL TECHNOLOGY abstract

This paper discusses the requirements for an effective load management system based on the Ripple Control technology. The requirements for the two main components, namely signal injection and signal receiving equipment, in a ripple control system are discussed. The different injection methods and their unique characteristics are analyzed to reach the ideal profile needed for the signal injection circuit. The behavior of the electrical network, being the transmission medium for the control signal, is described to reach the ideal specification for a signal transmitter and receiver that can reliably function for many years in the distribution network.
