Abstract:

The complexity of power systems as well as wide range of operating regimes are beyond practical limitations of modelling techniques used in control design, thus in order to provide reliable system operation, a controller must be insensitive to modelling errors. In this paper based on Lyapunov theory and employing Riccati equatin approach [1][2] a robust feedback controller is designed and then is compared with a controller designed by a usual linear optimal control theory [4] and it is shown that the robust controller can ensure the stability of the overall system for all admissible uncertainties while the ususal optimal controller fails.
