INFLUENTIAL PARAMETERS OF SYSTEM LOSSES IN IRAN NATIONAL GRID

In any electric network a considerable amount of energy is wasted unused in distance between the points of generation to the point of consumption. System Losse reduction is one of the major task of all power utility companies in every ountry of the world. The first step in this universal task is, to identify the parameters influencing the losses in a power system, although some of these parameters are well known by the Power utility all over the world, but some others are not because they are direct dependants of social/economical situation of different societies, therefore, each power utility company must to identify these parameters within the boundary of its own territory in order to find suitable method toreduce them while some influential parameters causing losses in a power system can have techno/economical solution, other might have their solution in managerial techniques. However in this paper it is tried to identify the influential parameters causing electric losses in Iranian national networks. It is also tried to determine the share of each parameters in total system losses & propose possible ways of reducing the adverse ffects of each parameters in order to reduce the total energy losses in Iran.
