EVALUATION ECONOMICAL ROLE OF PAINT AND INDUSTRIAL COATINGS IN POWER INDUSTRY

Based on international investigations results ,about 3.5 to 4 per cent national gross production of countries Is allocated by damage caused by corrosion of industrial installations annally and this figure amounts to 7 percent in developing countries due to unavailability of progressed technology.In This paper, Ant we have tried to Investigate the economic rolle of industrial paint and coatings in preventing the resting of equipments of country industries in comparison with gross national production of the country, then the economical role of Industrial paint and coatings In power industry including expenses related to paint, industrial coatings and cathodic protection of units under construction have been compared with purchasing expenses of a turnkey power plant and the expenses related to the some category has been evaluated in relation to total expenses of annual maintenance of the power plants under operation and finally the actions which should be taken to decrease the power plants annual maintenance expense using proper and durable paint and coatings, have been investigated.
