ANALYSIS OF LINEAR INDUCTION MOTOR BY THE FINITE ELEMENT METHOD abstract
In this paper the finite element method(FEM) used to solve the general form of diffusion equation, which includes time- dependent and motional terms. The method is applied to a simplified model of a single-sided Linear induction motor and the resultant equations are solved by an extended Galerkin method. Finally, based on the develped results, the important charactristics such as thrust force and power loss in the secondary of a linear induction motor are calculated.
