This paper investigates the feasibility of Unified Power Flow Controller (MPEG) to improve power system transient stability. Based on the developed model, the impact of control strategy, parameters, and location of UPFC on power system transient stability are discussed- The direct method approach is used for this study, because its simplicity enhances understanding of measures that taken to improve stability.
