Design of Fuzzy Controller for Single and Double Cage Indution Motor Loads abstract

The paper presents two simple yet powerful fuzzy logic based static VAR compensators ( FSVCs) applied to an industrial power system consisting of three phase single cage and double cage induction motors ( SCLM & DCLM ) and static loads. In the proposed fuzzy logic controllers ( FLCs ) the speed and acceleration variations of a specific machine are taken as the inputs. To demonstrate the effectiveness and capabilities of the employed FSVCs, some extensive and comparative non-linear time domain digital simulation tests are performed The results show that over a wide range of operating conditions and disturbances, the FSVCs improves the voltage profile and the overall dynamic performance remarkably.
