COMPARISON OF EMPIRICAL CORRELATIONS GOVERNING CONDENSATION HEAT TRANSFER IN SMOOTH TUBES abstract
A large number of empirical and semiempirical correlations are available to predict heat transfer coefficients for filmwisc condensation in designing of condenser in power plant and other industrial heat exchangers. A comprehensive review has been made of the available correlations for condensation through smooth and enhanced tubes [1], and the important correlations for smooth tubes are compared and the specific correlations for available working fluid are selected for condensing heat exchanger design.
