Relaiability of high voltage equipment forced designers to repress aging of dielectric.Treeing and partial discharge are known as main reasons for dielectric aging and on the other hand, Non-uniformity of voltage distribution accelerates them. Therefore, uniform voltage distribution helps increasing insulation performance and lifetime.This paper discusses about radial and longitudinal voltage distributions in the internal insulating material of a HV bushing and. effects of flange length and central conductor diameter on voltage distribution. As a proposed solution, semiconductor foils has been incorporated between delaminated papers for uniforming voltage distribution.Because of simplicity and accuracy of the Charge Simulation Method (CSM), this method was chosen for electric field simulation.
