The Influence of Social Constructivism on Translation Trainees in an Academic Situation

Translation studies became a separate academic discipline in the last decades of twentiethcentury. And it is related to the study of theory and phenomena of translation (Munday, 2008).Theoretically, lots have been done in this area, but translator training as a sub disciplinary oftranslation studies has not been studied much.According to Munday (2008), the translation process enjoys translator altering original writtentext in the original verbal language into a written text in a different language . Also Tymoczko (ascited by Munday, 2005) emphasized the importance of translator’s role where the goal is closelexical fidelity to an original in the practice of translation of sacred and literary texts .
