Automatic Workflow Generation and Modification by Enterprise Ontologies and Documents

This article presents a novel method and development paradigm that proposes ageneral template for an enterprise information structure and allows for theautomatic generation and modification of enterprise workflows. This dynamicallyintegrated workflow development approach utilises a conceptual ontology of domainprocesses and tasks, enterprise charts, and enterprise entities. It also suggests adocument conceptual model for the circulation process in the generated workflowsand the display of process-related information and transactions with users in adocument-based platform as a document management system (DMS). Theconceptual model and suggested ontologies represent an abstraction of two hundreddifferent processes applied in the case of seven different enterprises with differentmissions, along with three main propounded enterprise ontologies.
