Abstract:

The educational and pedagogical supervision reflect vital factors connecting in the functioning of the educational process. The body of pedagogical supervision of the supervisor plays an important role in the supervision and control of educational institutions. The study reports the result of qualitative and quantitative studies which stays directly on supervision process. The researcher selected suitable resources published in academic journals especially in the last decade to provide a better understanding of supervision process in foreign language teaching in a way was systematic. To narrow down the number of research studies to a manageable number and make sure the articles have the apparent focus on current issues. To this end, the research studies were chosen based on links and gaps between the articles. After reviewing the articles, we categorized the rising issues and concerning supervision process into three claims. The claims are: 1) video-based supervision offers or promising alternatives, as teachers have an opportunity to examine their lesson. 2) The current supervision is not pedagogical or professional value and doesn’t have the positive impact on teacher performance 3) implementation of clinical supervision model for teaching practice can ameliorate many of identified problem.
