Abstract:

Due to increasing of the global fuel consumption and the rate of polluting emissions and greenhouse effect, the optimization and control methods of hybrid systems hasdeveloped recently. The rising price of the fuel and the tendency to prevent the climate change has been a leverage for more efficient energy systems such as CHPSto be introduced. The optimization of such systems seems to be very helpful to achieve the foregoing main goals. Thermodynamic model of a micro-gas turbine wasdeveloped and governing equations of the system were obtained. Then. the system components were simulated by means of MATLAB Simulink. The aim of the paper is todesign fuzzy logic center method, tune a PID controller by using fuzzy rules system and eotnpare these methods to optimize the fuel consumption and turbine ftmctionality.The results showed that besides generating 55 KW of power. fuzzy logic center method improves the settling time in shaft speed configuration, maintains the exhaustgas temperature below 620°C. The power generation remains stable toward step input.
