Abstract:

Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) is a simple, theoretically and empirically verified model that aims at explaining user behavior in information technologies. It has been greatly helpful in many studies which aim to explain the user acceptance of distance education systems. Although the original TAM does not include the concept of satisfaction, which is the most common criterion for the success of information systems, some researchers have included relevant variables in the models they test. This study investigated 20 studies which were conducted between 2006 and 2018 aiming to explain the user behavior and satisfaction of the Distance Education Systems through TAM. Variables which have an approved effect on satisfaction are listed as; Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Service Quality, System Quality, Information Quality, Confirmation, Educational Quality, Cognitive Absorption, Content Quality, Design Features, Enjoyment, Learning-Teacher Interaction and Learning Performance. Variables that are affected by satisfaction are Intention, Use, Learning Assistance, Retention and Transfer of Training. The study puts forward and compares the factors affecting user satisfaction
