Abstract:

Tetrahydro-4H-chromenes are important scaffolds existing among natural products and medicinal chemistry, They possess some important biological activities including anticancer, antimicrobial, antioxidant and molluscicidal activities. Among existing catalytic methods in organic synthesis, nanocatalysis represents a unique fashion. Heterogeneous catalysts have been applied in organic reactions in recent years. Magnetic nano particles supported on kaolin boron triflouride is a catalyst which is reusable, cheep, readily, available, eco-friendly, versatile and efficient for promotion of many acid catalyzed organic reactions without the use of harmful solvents. In this study, we report ourresults for the syntheses of Tetrahydro-4H-chromenes by a one-pot cyclocondensation using magnetic nano particles supported on kaolin boron triflouride (nano-kaoline/BF3/Fe3O4) as a solid acid catalyst based on green chemistry under solvent-free conditions
