Abstract:

Chemiluminescence (CL) is an extensive analytical tool for chemical analysis. In this paper, a new CL system has been proposed for the determination of haloperidol. In this method, acidic cerium (IV) solution (Ce (IV)) was used as oxidizing agent and Rhodamin 6G was used as a CL enhancer. In this method, the CL intensities was linear over the concentration ranges of 7.0×10-6-1.0×10-4 mol L-1. The detection limit (±3) for haloperidol calculated 3.1×10-7mol L-1 (116.5 ng mL-1 ). This method successfully applied for the determination of haloperidol in pharmaceutical formulations
