Abstract:

The objective of the present work is to develop a two parameters model namely Fu-Wang equation to correlate the surface tension of binary solutions containing ionic liquids (ILs). A database including 503 experimental data points for the surface tension of 8 binary ILs solutions is considered to develop the present model. Also, the adjustable parameters of the model for each binary systems are calculated by fminearch function as an optimization algorithm programming in the MATLAB software. A comparison between the results of the Fu-Wang model and the experimental data show a good accuracy with the average absolute relative deviation of AARD%=0.872%. In following, the results of the present model are compared with the results of the ideal model and the Fu-Wang model shows superiority. Finally, thedeviation analysis is done and the effect of temperature and mole fraction on the deviation of the model with experiment are investigated.
