Abstract:
In mobile telecommunications, cellular design is a very complex issue that affects factors such as the location and shape of obstacles in the environment, population density, and other environmental conditions. As a result, it is simply not possible to do this classically. In some cellular design methods, designers only determine the optimal location of base stations and then adjust environmental parameters such as power, tilt, and height of the antenna. In this paper, a new method is presented in which the Multi- objective genetic algorithm is used. By using the Multi-objective genetic algorithm, not only can we find the optimum location of third-generation mobile telecommunications base stations, but also the height, power, and tilt parameters of each antenna are determined simultaneously and optimally. The goal is to reduce interference and increase network coverage simultaneously. The efficiency of the proposed method has been investigated using USPS wave propagation simulation software in a specific area of Mashhad Azadshahr, where the Sadjad University of Technology is located. The simulation results show that the proposed method performs very well. At best, more than 90 percent of the study area is covered by appropriate network coverage.
